Abstract
Yusuke will introduce a generalization of Dehn twists for not necessarily simple loops on an oriented surface. Our generalization is defined as an element of an enlargement of the mapping class group of the surface. A natural question is whether a ``generalized Dehn twist" is realized by a diffeomorphism of the surface. This talk is partially based on a joint work with Nariya Kawazumi from University Tokyo.
