Abstract
The so-called branching rule for representations of Lie algebras has been used extensively in representation theory and mathematical physics. These rules give rise to a special basis of the representation called the Gelfand-Tsetlin basis.
In this talk I will explain how to obtain categorical branching rules and the corresponding categorical Gelfand-Tsetlin bases for the classical Lie algebras using Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras.
