Abstract:
The colored HOMFLY-PT polynomial is one of the most important knot invariants. In this talk I will present an overview of the properties of the colored HOMFLY-PT polynomial and the colored HOMFLY-PT homology - the homology theory that categorifies the colored HOMFLY-PT polynomial. These results are obtained by using physical insights and the outcome is a remarkable set of rigid structural properties that enables computations of the colored HOMFLY-PT homology for large classes of knots.
